UPDATE #02 🐸 Accessibility and Quality of Life

Hi, here's a new update for "Hi, Welcome to Froggy's", my retail night shift simulation! 🐸πŸ”₯

First of, let's take a small moment to celebrate, because the game's demo has been published exactly one week ago :)

I'm very happy to have put it out there early and get feedback on it; this is really not something I was used to do, which resulted in me often getting lost in development and putting too much pressure on myself.

Now with Froggy's I have a very clear direction, and I know what needs to be improved before going full deep into production. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for the few people that gave me their feedbacks!

Anyway, back to today's update!

I have been focusing greatly on quality of life and accessibility this time, based on some really good irl feedbacks:

  • ADDED a button to access the settings in dialogue and in game -- this occasionally cause a small visual glitch during the night, where the satisfaction meter will look empty after exiting the menu. I plan to change how it works later on so don't be scared it's okay (i promise)
  • ADDED sound caption: basically an option to display all important sound effect as a notification on the left side. Perfect for playing muted!
  • ADDED: warning message when the sound is muted
  • ADDED audio tester in the preferences screen
  • ADDED font accessibility option (OpenDyslexic, size increase...)
  • TWEAK: general look of the preferences screen
  • TWEAK: changed "Money" to "Tips" during the night

Damn, quite a lot!

AND YOU CAN PLAY THE NEW VERSION RIGHT NOW 🐸

Thank you for reading this and being interested in my weird game, take care!

- Nighten

PS: btw, almost twice more people viewed the last update page than the actual game; where are you guys coming from??? :O
